Latin America News: The Weight of the Pandemic

Written by Graham Young, OGTC Intern in Chile

The whole world is struggling with the coronavirus. In a report from the University of Miami, two experts break down the expected effects of the pandemic on Latin America. They are seeing massive amounts of job loss and are expecting even more. It is doubtful if the health care systems there will be able to handle the peak of the outbreak. There is also a disturbing rise in domestic violence throughout the region.

In times of trouble, people are looking for comfort and answers. We have both. Our God provides comfort and peace that cannot be shaken by this virus. He provides hope that can sustain through the misery that many are experiencing. We must be ready to carry that message to the world, and for that, we need more laborers.

Would you consider giving your life to take the gospel to Latin America?
